When you buy a ready made piece it is right there in front of you and you will know what you are getting.
The piece is immediately available for that special occasion whereas with a commission you may have to wait a number of months.

Purchase a Commissioned Piece
A commissioned piece is one that is special ordered on a certain theme. With a commission you get something that reflects your specific interests, something sentimentally important to you or to someone you care about.
Be prepared to give me free rein. When you give me the room to play with design and colors, the final look of the carving will likely benefit.
I do not take on all commissions if I feel I cannot do the idea justice.
Commissions will cost a little bit more than a ready made piece.
